DE WINGERD WIJNLAND LODGE

After a lot of travel experience through Southern Africa, Pierre & Mieke from Belgium decided to start their own guesthouse in Paarl, a rich historical city that shines like a jewel and makes you feel like a king.

Paarl proudly bears the title of the third-oldest town in South Africa, being one of the first regions of the Cape to be settled by the Dutch and French Hugenots over 300 years ago.

Cape Dutch, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco houses along the Mainstreet are only a part of the architectural and agricultural heritage.

Even though Paarl has a country feel about it, it is only 55 km. from Cape Town and within easy reach of all the other major attractions in the Western Cape.

In the middle of the picturesque Cape Winelands, Pierre and Mieke welcome guests to "De Wingerd", bordering the vineyards of the famous Grande Roche hotel on the slopes of Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve, the second-largest granite outcrop in the world.

Large fully equipped air-conditioned rooms are designed for personal comfort and open onto a private terrace or garden with stunning valley views.

The idyllic environment, many places of interest, good wines, good food and friendly people promise you a memorable stay.

Wine Estates , Golf Courses and delicious Restaurants are only minutes away.
