Company Profile Aerosat's core value proposition and foundation for its business model, is the delivery of affordable last-mile broadband connectivity solutions. Aerosat has pioneered cost effective broadband access solutions in the Nelson Mandela Metro and surrounding areas for the past 5 years. Our commitment to research and development has kept us in the forefront of technology development and enabled us to implement sustainable, affordable Internet and wide area network services in the Metro. Aerosat was established June 2003 in Port Elizabeth, to address the very real lack of reliable, cost effective 24/7 broadband Internet connectivity at the time, and has expanded into a company which offers a variety of Internet and connectivity services. Ranging from simple home users looking for a cost effective alternative to dialup Internet access, to large blue- chip corporates looking to save money by replacing their existing diginet lines, the Aerosat client base is vast and varied. We have customized packages to meet the needs of every individual and organization. Aerosat have a point of presence in many cities in South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, East London, Uitenhage, Jeffery's Bay, Humansdorp and the surrounding Eastern Cape region. From these nodes, we distribute a vast array of broadband services, catered to each individual's requirements. The Network Aerosat offers by far the most extensive and robust wireless network in the Eastern Cape. Our network's footprint spans from Wittelsbos, all the way through to East London. The actual density of this footprint and coverage map is dependant on the area itself, with us expanding as the demand for our services increases. In Port Elizabeth we cover approximately 90% of the city, with over 30 outdoor access points. Cities such as East London where we are still developing our network, comprise of 8 outdoor access points currently and service over one hundred individual client installations. We are constantly evaluating opportunities for further expansion within the confines of the municipal area. Social Responsibility Aerosat has responded to the community's need for assistance with education. We have had numerous meetings within our organization to address this need, which have resulted in our proposal to provide all schools within the metro with a free internet connection. The Internet Connection provided by Aerosat will be used solely for breaking down the digital divide apparent in developing countries such as South Africa. Aerosat will be going public with our intention of offering these free services to schools and underprivileged organizations in 2007 and will be accepting applications later in the year. Aerosat is also involved with many community projects to assist in skills development. We have recently assisted the department of Social development with 3 projects to further the IT skills of the Kuyga, New Brighton and Motherwell communities. Projects like these are aimed to boost the education and skills acquired by residents in the surrounding areas, giving a valuable resource to them by exposing them to the wonders of ICT. EP Children's Home has received an Aerosat sponsorship which entitles them to the necessary hardware required to run an Internet access station. In addition to this, a permanent Internet connection with no data cap has been provided to them at no monthly charge at all. Aerosat has also sponsored Imbewu SA, a non-profit organisation that empowers and encourages all efforts aimed at alleviating human suffering and restoring human dignity, by addressing the social needs of previously disadvantaged communities in South Africa through effective and sustainable educational, health, sports / culture and volunteer programmes, primarily targeting the youth in townships and rural areas. Aerosat is a national player, but remains exclusively committed to social intervention in the poorer communities in the Eastern Cape. We utilize technology which we believe has significant potential to bridge the digital divide and we are highly supportive of the Nelson Mandela Metropole's initiatives in this regard. BEE Commitment Aerosat is committed to assisting previously disadvantaged individuals who have not had the opportunity to further their education with skills development and training. We are also committed to employing and developing historically disadvantaged individuals with an emphasis on gender. Currently 2 of the 3 managers in our employ are female.
