Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade, you have probably heard of Twitter. It is become a powerful branding tool that has enabled businesses of all sizes to get the word out about their company. While many people prefer to post links or text in their tweets, it can be a little dull for your followers to constantly see in their Twitter feed. If you want to keep your audience intrigued by your tweets, here are a few tweet ideas that will take your Twitter page from boring to interesting.
What makes infographics so appealing is the fact that it uses images and facts to educate the reader without them needing to read a lengthy article to get the same information. There are websites available to help you create the perfect infographic, such as Pikto Chart, or you can also share ones that you have seen on other websites.
Posting a picture can be a nice break from the various links posted in your twitter feed. If your company had an event, post pictures from it. If you are launching a new product or service, post a picture to inform your audience of what your business is now offering. Pictures can also be used for entertainment value by posting non-related, funny images you found online. Keep in mind that your followers most likely know what your company does, so post images that will interest them.
Keep your followers engaged by asking them a question. For example, a trade show display company could ask a question, such as, “What event does your company have coming up?” You could also post a more generalized question, like, “What did you do over the weekend?” Give your audience a chance to share information about themselves or their business by posting the right question.
Replies and Retweets
Share others’ tweets that you think your audience will find interesting as a way to interact with your other company’s or people. Also, connect with other tweeters by replying to their posts, whether you have an opinion about a link, picture, or question they posted. Chances are that if you are commenting or retweeting their tweets, they will do the same for you.
Respond to All Comments or Questions
If someone posts an issue they had with your company, a compliment, or a question for you, never leave them hanging by not responding to their inquiry. If they have had a problem with your business, respond to it in a timely manner in order to show them you take the issue very seriously. Try to come up with a solution that will change how that person thinks about your business. Whatever others’ may want to say to you, make sure you respond to them in order to show them you care what they have to say.
Posting a link every once in a while is perfectly acceptable, but use these ideas to shake up your tweets and keep it interesting.
