INTRODUCTION TO THE SABI
Background
The South African Business Index (SABI), which is an independent national networking and business alliance organization, was formed in order to fill a significant gap identified in the networking and communication sector of the business market. Businesses must be able to network and communicate effectively, in good time and cost effectively on a national level irrespective of the industry or geographical level they operate on. This is where the SABI steps in with programs to assist businesses in reaching their fullest potential within this new and ever-changing framework of networking and communication.
The following statements describe the purpose, function, and core business of the SA Business Index national structure:
The SABI strives for total dedication in order to provide its subscribers with the very best service possible in every aspect. The total satisfaction of subscribers is the standard that has been stipulated for all our operations.
Business represents the core focus of the SABI, viz. to provide businesses in every sector with a viable channel to develop increased exposure to their businesses. If they don't know about you, how can they do business with you? Therefore the business of the SABI is business awareness!
Business Alliances represent an intrinsic part of the vision, purpose, and defined operating policies of the SABI. Through the establishment of alliances and partnerships with business, business organizations and the consumer, the SABI aims to enhance the services and benefits that it is able to offer to all of its subscribers.
Networking represents a central power point of the SABI and by means of the SABI software application affords its subscribers the benefit of creating business awareness by networking at several levels:

Our Aim
The aim of the SABI's national structure is to support the development of micro, small, medium, and large businesses in order to stimulate the general economy. The SABI believes that this will lead to an improvement in the quality of living and a resultant alleviation of poverty and crime within South Africa. Our stated drive is to utilize the SABI in assisting businesses through the processes of formation, expansion, and prospering by influencing the way that individuals view their businesses, as this is the source of the way they think and act.
What the SABI is
Because of this ever-changing business landscape and the constantly evolving business demands, business people need an organization that will create a proper alternative communications network to connect groups and other organizations such as the local, provincial, and national government with the business community on a regional, national, and international level. By subscribing to and being actively linked to such a network, businesses expand and prosper.
The stated purpose of the SABI is to become just such a network by linking businesses strategically through the SABI, thus creating value added benefits to its subscribers.
What the SABI is not
The SABI is not a labour provider or broker. The primary aim of the SABI is to promote and enhance the businesses of its subscribers by means of promoting subscriber-to-subscriber business thus enabling them to provide additional labour opportunities.
The SABI cannot run or drive your business for you, but can create potential and opportunities by providing business links, which when utilised will result in growth and prosperity for businesses. By joining hands with the SABI, a strong alliance is formed which provides the platform for us to assist in helping your business to grow and prosper.
Chamber of Commerce
The SABI should not be confused with organizations such as a chamber of commerce. It is complementary to a chamber of commerce adding the benefits of the unique features of the SABI, which is essential in building viable businesses today.
Other Business Initiatives
A platform has been created to interact and form alliances with chambers of commerce and other business initiatives on a national basis. Such interaction and alliances automatically derive additional benefits for subscribers as the business platform now expands exponentially.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be recognized as the market leader that will create a proper alternative communications network to connect groups and other organizations such as the local, provincial, and national government with the business community on a regional, national, and international level.
Our Mission
To be the preferred South African Business Index communications network provider, through service and product excellence and dynamic leadership complimented by motivated staff.
